To many a New Yorker, Thai food has replaced the other ubiquitous Asian options as the exotic eastern cuisine of choice. And there is no better place to dig into some of Thailand’s most addictive and unusual dishes than at tiny Boyd Thai, a quaint spot that is diminutive in size but not in taste. Quick for delivery or the perfect antidote to a hot summer’s evening with a cold glass of Thai Ice Tea, there are many ways to enjoy the pleasures of Boyd.
Pad Thai is de rigueur (and de-licious) but curries, salads and other noodle dishes abound, with levels of spiciness that cater to the most fearful and most adventurous eaters. Authenticity, service and reasonable prices put Boyd at the top for Thai.
Fresh Tuna and Mango Mixed Green Salad—With roasted rice
Hot and Sour Shrimp or Chicken Soup
Pad Prik Khing—With string beans and chili paste
Pan Fried Soft Shell Crab—With oriental green vegetables and milk Panang curry
Peanut Curry—With zucchini, shallots and bell peppers
Steamed Filet of Red Snapper—With ginger, lime and shitake mushroom
Fairly bland, watery and tasteless curry. Unimpressed.

Terrible terrible service. Delivery time was double the estimated 30-45 minutes.

Good food, but do NOT order from here (I live nearby and it's great to visit). I'm writing this review after an hour waiting for my food. I just called them and they said they've been "busy" and are "going to start making my food now." Inexcusable.

My pad thai with tofu tasted like it was swimming in fish water. Nasty!

Food came early and hot. Tasted great.

Could not fault it. Wonderful meal.

Quick delivery, but the food was VERY mediocre. Lack of flavor.

We waited over an hour for the delivery - and, after ordering $30 of food we ended up throwing it all away. Both dishes were essentially plain noodles. Pad Thai and Pad See Ew with absolutely no seasoning on them.

BAD Thai food. Very inauthentic and the dishes were dry and unflavorful.

Pretty good, but don't order the soup with the special for delivery. It always spills all over the inside of the bag and gets all over everything.

Decent thai food, nothing too special. The curry's are good, I like the paneng and green curry the best. We have ordered from here a number of times but the delivery has taken too long a couple of those times (close to 1h) even though we're only a block away (I know, I'm just too lazy to just pick it up...)

Good Thai flavor, taste like home. Good deal on lunch special and early bird.

I really enjoy the food from Boyd Thai. The duck salad, curries, and wide-flat noodle dishes are always very flavorful. My favorite is hands down the curry rice, excellent! One complaint, they are ALWAYS out of pork spring rolls. Without fail, if I order the spring rolls, 10 minutes later I will get a call saying they are unavailable. Just take them off the friggin menu already.

Great food and Service!

Pad See Ew is dry, stuck together, beef is overcooked to be unchewable. Chicken/shrimp dumplings are decent-- I like the spicy whatever on top.

They called me after i ordered and told me they did not have what i ordered. I replaced it with something else, and the food is still not here after an OVER AN HOUR. This is horrible service. I will not be ordering from here again... and if you are hungry, i wouldn't suggest you do either. Customer Service? No so much.

Delivery was 2 hours late but was pretty good

Very fresh and delicious! Even the mild spice option on the curry is spicy, though, so beware before you check the spicy option. Peanut and green curry dishes are both very good.

I wouldn't recommend this place for anything except the soup...

Fantastic Lamb Chops and dumplings.

My order experience here was pretty awful. They estimated 30-45 minutes for delivery -- it actually took 2 HOURS and 5 minutes for my food to arrive. Yes, the weather was bad, but that is pretty inexcusable. Additionally, the two times I called to ask about my order, the person on the phone was very rude to me. I will never order from them again.

good food, fast delivery

The food was disappointing. I ordered 3 dishes and all were overwhelmed by raw garlic, and the two entrees tasted exactly the same. Also, this restaurant uses about the worst eco-friendly containers possible. I'll try a different restaurant next time.

Maybe this review should be 1.5 stars. My food was 1 star worthy, but I give it 1.5 stars because it could have been worse. My order was 20 minutes late, and when my food arrived, the salmon entree was undercooked (bascially raw) and the rest of my order tasted like it had been sitting out for a while - good sign that there is a timing problem with the kitchen. I was dissappointed because the food had potential to be good. Normally, with a bad restaurant, the food just tastes cheap. However, at Boyd Thai the ingredients seemed fresh (the vegitables were perfectly ripe, the salmon was a reasonably high quality fillet), just the preparation/timing was horrible. Also, everything was a little too spicy (I know it's Thai food but we selected the mild option for some items for my girlfriend).

Delivery took over an hour when it said 15-30mins on the menu. Food is mediocre at best.

Papaya salad was great! Would recommend Boyd Thai.

Delicious food. Unlike a lot of places, when you ask for it spicy, they actually make it pretty spicy--finally! The curries are great, and I usually order the veggie duck even though I'm an omnivore, because it's spot-on.

the food could have been good, but it took more than an hour for my order to arrive and by that time it was cold and pretty much inedible. I called the restaurant to inquire about the status of my order and they simply told me the delivery person was on his way ... no real apology at all.

The first time I ordered the massaman chicken from Boyd it was great. This second time it was dry and barely any sauce. I am not even 100% sure it was the massaman, that's how little sauce was on it. No Consistency.

Was surprised because of the distance but right on time!

The noodles were salty & the eggs in my Pad Thai was burnt. I would go elsewhere.

I ordered the pineapple fried rice lunch special. The dish was about 85% rice - with 5-6 pieces of pineapple and very little chicken and almost no vegetables. And there were no cashew nuts in the whole dish as the description indicated. The only spice/flavor added to dish was a tremendous amount of black pepper and garlic. The food did come fast and hot but would not order from again.
